Clown NEDIPA is a hazy double IPA where the hops do most of the talking. Nelson Sauvin SubZero Hop Kief and Nelson Sauvin Bliss bring gooseberry, peach and a white wine-like fruitiness. Citra Incognito throws in mango and passionfruit, and Cascade keeps everything grounded with its familiar grassy bitterness. The mouthfeel is soft, the flavour lingers.
This beer was born out of a collaboration with Oulu-based comic artist Lauri Ahtinen. Lauri makes art, comics – and likes to drink NEIPA. So of course we had to make a NEIPA together, but with double the power.
The self-deprecating comic strip on the label is Lauri’s work. And it suits the beer perfectly, we dare to say. Just like this beer, it doesn’t overpromise, but delivers.
